JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Finance Manager, is an integral member of Universal Products & Experience, responsible for providing operational and financial support to the Universal Products & Experience EMEA team across all categories (Toys & Hardlines, Fashion & Living and Food, Beauty & Care). The primary focus will be financial planning and analysis, business development to drive growth, contract negotiations with key partners and to support both regional and country teams. We are looking for a true finance business partner to support commercial leaders to drive performance and execute business strategies. This is a high profile role with regular exposure to senior management. The qualified candidate must be able to multi-task and balance priorities on competing initiatives and be used to working within in a matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operationally lead the budgeting and forecasting process and consolidation reporting, managing full P&L for EMEA markets
  • Partner with the commercial teams to managing key partner life cycles and contract performance and, to drive solutions to ensure delivery of projected business plans
  • Lead the analysis of complex data / whitespace analysis, macroeconomic indicators, internal/external benchmarks to appraise business potential & opportunities by brand, market, business unit / category and to assist commercial teams to develop growth strategies through to execution
  • Provide strong technical leadership, implementing and sharing best practices
  • Partner with the wider Consumer Products FP&A team to ensure continuous process improvements - streamline and build efficient and effective processes (financial & operational)
  • Lead and manage direct cost and overheads budgets for the entire region
  • Prepare materials for frequent senior leadership updates/presentations
  • Input into system enhancement discussions and priorities
  • Lead and support ad hoc projects, as requested
  • Management of Senior Finance Analyst

Qualifications
  • Commercial awareness and curiosity together with extensive work experience as a finance business partner within a Consumer Products/Licensing
  • Experience of leading a budgeting / forecasting cycle within a large complex business
  • Qualified accountant with solid accounting background & technical expertise
  • Excellent analytical skills - focused on relevant business performance metrics and driving insights
  • An eye for detail - working at a high level of accuracy independently
  • Strong organizational skills and flexible approach, comfortable working accurately at pace and with changing priorities
  • People management experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills - confidence & presence to interact with, and occasionally present to, senior executives
  • Experience with financial and planning systems
  • Strong and detailed financial modelling experience, with advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including ability to "tell a story" using PowerPoint
