ENGIE are recruiting for a Finance Manager to be based in Leeds. This is a permanent full time role working 37 hours per week. Working is flexible in relation to office attendance (1-2 days per week) and standard office hours (8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm Friday) are expected. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Purpose of the job:

To lead the team responsible for all trading related financial activities of the UK Energy Supply business platform.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance of all back-office activities such as trade confirmations, netting

statement preparation and third party supplier invoice validation.
  • Delivery of timely and accurate reporting of all derivatives balances, covering both statutory and management

reporting.
  • Delivery of timely and compliant regulatory reporting and scheme claims such as Ofgem and BEIS reporting.
  • Coordinate industry related external audit engagements such as those required by schemes covering Renewables Obligation, Feed-in Tariff and governmental energy bill support.
  • Manage supplier security requirements of key industry suppliers such as Elexon.
  • Ensure all external audit requests assigned to the team are completed in a timely and accurate manner

through effective planning and robust data preparation.
  • Provide excellent development of team members through coaching and sharing of technical knowledge.
  • Supporting management accounting processes as required including supporting monthly financial closes and

forecasting activities.
  • Delivery of other tasks as required in order for the wider Finance team to deliver its objectives.
  • Adherence to internal processes and risk frameworks including INCOME and ad-hoc internal audit

assignments.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications required:
  • Financial reporting within a large complex organisation.
  • Proven post qualification accountancy experience in a dynamic professional environment.
  • Management and development of finance professionals.
  • Experience of a finance orientated role within the energy sector is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to apply professional expertise in a commercial environment
  • A fully qualified Accountant from a recognised Accountancy Board
  • Highly numerate • Excellent leadership
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge •
  • Able to analyse complex accounting and operational data using Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities
  • Knowledge of the Energy industry
