Your role

We are looking for a Group Reporting Lead to lead a small dedicated team to ensure consolidated group reporting requirements to Fujitsu Limited in Japan are met; and to provide financial information and analysis required to support the preparation of annual statutory accounts for UK-based reporting entities.

Your role will involve Group consolidation of actual financial results and forecasts, covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow (incl. alignment with Group Treasury on Cashflow forecasts) and supplementary disclosure requirements. Liaison with colleagues in Japan to support Fujitsu Ltd Group Reporting requirements will be critical to the effectiveness of this role.

To support financial control and risk management you will review Balance Sheets across the Group (with an added UK focus to support J-Sox requirements).

A key focus will be to lead the engagement with FSH and FSL Group auditors, based in the UK, to manage and support group audit activities on a quarterly and annual basis, covering audit planning / delivery and resolution of key audit issues. This role will also support preparation of Statutory accounts and financial reporting to effectively communicate key financial results, trends and positions of the FSH Group at each reporting date.

Regular alignment with country finance leadership and teams in the UK, Ireland and Nordic regions on Group Reporting matters is essential to drive compliance with Group Accounting policy, internal and external audit requirements, and shareholder initiatives as required.

You will act as a key point of contact for central and country finance teams on FSH Group Reporting matters, including FSH Group and European finance leadership .

Your experience
  • Qualified financial accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Knowledge of Financial accounting, controlling and reporting in an international/group environment would be beneficial (gained through relevant practical experience and a professional accounting qualification).
  • Experienced in providing information and decision support to senior management with responsibility for financial control and governance, policy compliance and/or risk management
  • Articulate and confident in terms of ability to engage with external auditors and senior Finance team to review, advise and challenge
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) would be beneficial to help support Group Reporting team objectives and provide the wider Finance organisation with advice, guidance and critical review of accounting matters.
  • Capable of managing a team of people, in line with established corporate standards for people management and to promote effective teamwork, employee engagement and enablement initiatives and drive operational performance against agreed objectives.
