The role

We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to work with the business to report the financial information for the business on a monthly basis. The role will also involve managing the day- to- day accounting of key segments of the trial balance across numerous entities. This is a pivotal role within the finance team not only for the regulatory elements, but you will verify the accuracy of the data making sure that the team have access to the most up to date and correct financial information.

On a day- to- day basis you will act as the subject matter expert for our newly implemented Oracle Fusion core modules. This will align to your strong understanding of AP, AR, fixed assets, IFRS16 lease accounting and General Ledger Financial Accountancy. You will be the key stakeholder to make sure that the business complies with corporate financial policies, legal requirements and reporting standards. You will be responsible for the integrity of the general ledger by way of effective and appropriate reconciliation procedures and documentation.

You will also deal with intercompany balance sheets and prepare the monthly reporting pack for group consolidation. You will be a key point of contact on internal and external audits and prepare and file statutory accounts. As you immerse yourself within this role you will help with the development and implementation of policies and processes to improve the internal control environment and streamlined efforts.

The person

So, who are we looking for?

• Qualified accountant with PQE experience from within a large blue- chip organisation
• Up to date knowledge of financial accounting practices and reporting standards
• A knowledge of Oracle Fusion, CaseWare and strong Excel skills
• Experience of working in a busy team with the ability to self- manage tasks
• A keen focus on data quality, validation and reconciliation across data sets
