My client is seeking:

A Finance Manager to lead their Accounts team at our Head Office in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire.

The role:
The role will be based at the head Head Office in Cross Hands and the Finance Manager will report directly to the Directors and be part of the company`s senior management team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for three members of accounts staff and will liaise closely with operational managers to ensure that the company`s finances are managed and controlled effectively and efficiently.

As Finance Manager will need to be 'hands on' and will also be required to contribute to the strategic development of the company.

Specific responsibilities will be:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounts team, providing staff development and support.
Oversee the sales invoice and credit control functions, providing support and cover as appropriate.
Overseeing the payroll function (weekly and monthly payrolls), providing support and cover as appropriate.
Overseeing the processing of sales and purchase invoices to the accounting ledgers, providing support and cover as appropriate.
Overseeing the preparation of weekly 'flash' accounts, providing support and cover as appropriate.
Oversee and manage the fuel purchases, liaising with fuel suppliers as appropriate.
Preparation of monthly accounts and the supporting analyses and reconciliations.
Cash management and maintaining cash flow forecasts as necessary.
Liaising with auditors, banks and other professional services providers.
Prepare, develop and analyse financial information (e.g. profitability analyses) to support management and the directors to ensure future growth and profitability.
Review accounting practices and procedures on a regular basis to ensure that they are effective and efficient.
We are looking for a high calibre individual who will be an experienced Finance Manager or someone looking to progress to the role, with appropriate skills, qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will have high numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail who is comfortable working on a hands-on basis whilst also being able to contribute to the overall development of the business.
