Are you an experienced Credit Controller that wants to work for a busy SME based in Stockport? With a long-standing history in their Industry they need a credit controller who is experienced and has excellent communication and organisation. If your someone who has controlled your own ledger, has Credit Control experience and enjoys working as part of a small team then this is an ideal opportunity

As a key member of the Accounts Department you will behandling the collection of debts and the resolution of account queries whilst providing a good customer experience.



Responsibilities:

  • Ensure debts are collected in a timely manner
  • Chase overdue debt
  • Maintain records of collection activity.
  • Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring in payment.
  • Hold Accounts where appropriate.
  • Ensure insurers are kept up to date with late payments
  • Take PDQ card machine payments
  • Copy invoices/statements.
  • Obtain proof of delivery, correct invoice and account errors.
  • Process Credit Stop list (together with the Credit Control team).
  • Process Account / Credit application forms.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Strong IT/ Excel/ Word and Outlook skills capability.
  • Experience of handling your own ledger is essential
