TeacherActive are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work in an Essex school.

You will be based in Witham Essex within an established team and will be responsible for looking after the Purchase Ledger on a day-to-day basis. This is a full temporary position with the possibility of becoming a permanent job for the right candidate.

The hours are Monday-Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm.

Salary is between £22,500 - £28,000 (permanent salary equivalent).

Duties include –

• *Processing suppliers’ invoices

• * Code and enter purchase invoices

• * Reconciling Supplier statements

• *Maintaining purchase ledger records

• * Build good relationships with key suppliers

• * Address any discrepancies or issues

• * Obtain approval

• *Assist with month end duties

Skills and Experience -

• * Attention to detail and accuracy

• * Previous Purchase Ledger Experience

• * Excellent communication skills

• * Ideally you will have some experience of VAT

• * Experience of using Accountancy Packages (Client uses Xero)
