We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Credit Controller to join our Finance team in Auckland, New Zealand. You will be managing the credit and collection activities for a large and diverse portfolio of accounts. Uniquely, your influence will be felt directly by interacting with the customer and all areas within Schneider to ensure customer queries, disputes and issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Some of the major responsibilities include however not limited to;

• Maintain debtors overdue accounts to agreed company performance levels
• Ensure collection of debtor's accounts occurs within credit terms and according to company policy and procedures
• Regular reporting to Pacific Zone Credit Manager on account collection progress
• Be the escalation point for resolution of disputed debt and collection issues across end user and distributor accounts
• Manage customer interactions with empathy and take action to satisfy the customers immediate needs and prevent reoccurrence
• Allocate cash against customer account open items

About You

You are a highly driven and confident professional who wants to work for a value-based organisation whose solutions are leading edge. This role is a key appointment and requires an individual confident when client facing, as much as you are comfortable being a "custodian" of credit process.

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes

• Degree qualifications in Finance / Accounting or relevant discipline
• Demonstrated experience of 3-5 years in a similar role
• Knowledge of credit and credit related activities
• Customer claims and dispute processes
• ERP systems especially SAP
• Strong Excel, written, verbal, negotiation, and communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
