They now have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Strategy and Performance to lead a dynamic, experienced, and enthusiastic Strategy team. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the development of Council's core corporate planning and reporting requirements. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience working with Local Government legislation to support and advise the wider organisation to ensure Council is meeting legislative obligations. Alongside the GM - Strategy and Development, the role has responsibility for compliance, the Long-Term Plan, Annual Reporting and key strategic initiatives and policies.

The successful candidate will be a sophisticated communicator and will be confident working in an ever-changing environment. As a senior leader, you will be working closely with the Executive Leadership team, and members of the community, hence excellent relationship management skills are essential. This role will provide a strategic lens for the organisation, so intellectual grunt is a must.

Other key requirements include extensive experience in strategic planning and policy development and a relevant tertiary qualification coupled with at least five years' experience in a local government environment.
