Michelle Denny Recruitment is working with an accountancy practice who have offices in North London and East Anglia. We are looking for an Accountant to join either office, with a hybrid option a consideration. This position is part time, offering three days per week with an annual salary of up to £50,000 pro rata.
You will specifically be working alongside one of the practice’s more complex clients to guide them through all the financial aspects of their business, so your inquisitive, proactive and technically able mind will be put to good use. Experience within the Construction industry would be highly advantageous and you'll be travelling to meet with the client at their HQ based in North Kent, once or twice a fortnight.
This accountancy role involves a strong element of management accounting including:
Budgeting / cash flow forecast
Intercompany transactions optimisation
Cost management
Duties will include:
Review and submit VAT returns, Income Tax Returns, Company Accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
Effectively communicate, demonstrating the appropriate level of professionalism in order to gain and maintain client confidence.
Working with passion to provide accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency and regulatory compliance, whilst striving to protect client interests.
Regularly report on issues and progress to Director, highlighting any concerns that require escalation. Person specification:
Fully qualified accountant with a professional UK recognised body.
Accountancy practice experience.
Strong sense of discipline, with a professional approach and articulate communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
Happy and able to travel to client's North Kent head office, once or twice a fortnight. The Business:
