What Will You Do

  • Lead and support the Management Accountants
  • Review and analysis of the monthly management accounts for the parks challenging areas that require further investigation and having a clear understanding of variances against prior year and budget in order to communicate to senior management
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts for the parks
  • Prepare monthly caravan sales gross profit reconciliation and review including month end accrual routines
  • Accurately prepare and post accruals, prepayments and margins for each of the parks on a weekly basis
  • Providing financial support to the park managers and making recommendations
  • Answering queries from the park managers, the Financial Controller and the Executive team
  • Seek every opportunity to refine process efficiency and ensure policy & procedure documentation is up to date, complete and relevant
  • Challenge existing processes and make recommendations driving continuous efficiency and improvements
  • Preparation and review of weekly sales reports
  • Gas, electricity, water and rates recharges calculations and running of the meter reading/invoicing process
  • Preparation of allocated month end balance sheet reconciliations ensuring reconciled on a regular basis posting journals as required
  • Assist external auditors with queries and provide accurate information on a timely basis
  • Assist on year end statutory accounts preparation
  • Meet all company deadlines; working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all deadlines are met and all requirements fulfilled
  • Personally interact and network with the team at central services and on park to encourage a culture of ongoing positive relationships to benefit and promote the business
  • Respond to enquiries and requests from colleagues positively to promote effective and friendly working relationships
  • Contribute to the wider strategic objectives of the Group including operations on parks


What Will You Bring

  • At least 2+ Years PQE ACA/ACCA / CIMA qualifications
  • Internal customer orientation, with proven experience of facilitating informed decision making
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn
  • Ideally from a multi-site consumer facing business, whilst not critical it would be highly advantageous
  • Good understanding of financial transactions including double entry bookkeeping
  • Methodical, accurate and able to meet deadlines
  • Advanced and proficient experience using Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and basic formulas
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the business, to a wide range of internal customers
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills
  • Able to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy the challenge of ad-hoc projects
  • Happy to travel to our holiday parks around the country
