Our Christchurch campus is located in the heart of Te Papa Hauora (the city's dedicated health precinct), right next to Christchurch Hospital. Our staff have internationally recognised research strengths in a number of areas including heart disease, indigenous health, infectious diseases, genetics, cancer, biomedical engineering, nursing, mental health and public health.
The role/Te mahi
As a Finance Associate based at our Christchurch campus, you will provide expert financial advice, analysis and day-to-day support to executives and managers that strengthen the business unit's finances and support effective decision making.
This role is part of the central Finance Advisory team of 50 staff and reports to the Finance Manager.
Skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
We are looking for individuals with experience in:
Recognised qualification(s) appropriate to the role and considerable relevant finance experience are essential for the role.
A tertiary level qualification in an accounting/finance discipline is preferred.

- Providing financial advisory services, including month end accounting; financial reporting, analysis and commentary; financial forecasting and budgeting; financial modelling and analysis.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Giving financial advice and guidance to non-finance senior managers.
