We are looking for part-time experienced bookkeeper / accountant to join our team. Ideally you are qualified (either NZ or overseas) or are on the journey to being qualified and are driven to learn & grow. If this is you, read on!

This role will initially require about 15 hours a week, but will increase in hours as the business grows and as projects dictate.

In this role you will be working closely with the CFO, CEO and senior leaders as the owner of the Finance function. You will be working in a close-knit, fun, and collaborative team whilst having a high degree of autonomy.

A Few More Details

This role is responsible for the end-to-end finance function of the business. This role includes:
  • Fully owning the accounting function, including preparing accurate, timely and interesting information from which decisions can be based
  • Preparation of month end and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Annual revenue management including the release of deferred revenue on a timely basis
  • Preparation of various financial reports including management reports
  • Critically reviewing financial numbers and interpret to grow the business
  • Proactively managing and driving cashflow
  • Preparing payroll
  • Driving accounts receivable, collections and credit control
  • Preparing budgets & forecasts
  • Managing all tax compliance - GST, PAYE, Income tax and other filings
  • Implementing best practices and processes within finance
  • Cross functional collaboration with sales and succession teams to ensure opportunities for growth are identified and followed-up
  • Other ad hoc duties as required in supporting the business.

About You
  • 3+ years' experience as a bookkeeper or accounting personnel or in a similar role
  • You have a CA/ACA or CPA or similar, or some type of bookkeeping certification
  • A Xero whizz
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Possess a passion for improving systems and processes
  • Organised with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to think critically and analytically
  • Strong communicator & team player
  • Have a good sense of humour
  • Enjoys a challenge and a keen learner
