Our client in the automotive component manufacturing sector is seeking an accounts payable clerk to join their finance department
About the position
  • Ensure that all supplier invoices are timeously posted and paid on time
Responsible for maintenance of Accounts Payable sub-ledger Job Requirements:
  • National Diploma - Costing or Accounting or experience as accounts payable clerk
Ability to perform and review reconciliations of Vendor Accounts Ability to perform General Ledger and Bank reconciliations Ability to capture transactions accurately into accounting systems Computer literate Ability to work under time pressure Key Performance Areas:
  • Maintenance of Accounts Payable sub-ledger in Oracle related to local suppliers, encompassing:
Processing of entries and allocation of expenses to correct accounts and cost centre's Reconciling vendor statement to accounts in accounts payable sub-ledger Processing of supplier invoices for sundry goods and services, debit and credit notes to correct vendor account and posting to the correct expense account and cost centre's Perform all creditors reconciliations for correctness of value, allocations, cost centre's etc. and as support for authorizing for payment. Issue major maintenance requisition numbers. Preparing Movement Analysis by Vendor and reconcile to control account (PSUM). Assist Financial Manager if necessary ICS: Manager/Staff member to diligently apply her/his mind to ensure that all transactions comply with: Compliance with Group Signature Guideline (General and Specific to BU and Function) and ensure that work is performed in compliance with Compliance with Management Handbook and Local Work Instructions. Managers and staff need to ensure that they maintain the minimum INTERNAL CONTROL STANDARDS as described and annual re-evaluated in terms of ICS.
