Great chance to join this neat Kiwi-owned, small/medium business working out of their friendly head office located in Birkenhead on Auckland's lovely North Shore. Our client is a long-established family business with an excellent reputation built over 40 years during which they have established themselves as industry leaders in their chosen women's fashion category.

This opportunity is to join their team in this key permanent position of Company Accountant. The business comprises twenty retail branches, the head office, and a popular online web store.

Their existing Company Accountant has been with them for almost 20 years and has decided it's time to put her feet up so we're helping them secure a new experienced accounting professional to join their team ASAP. They're looking for a long-term, permanent team member who is already a CPA or is in the process of gaining their CPA.

Note that they are currently using 'Cash Manager' accounting software and MYOB IMS Payroll system.

Core Responsibilities
As with most Company Accountant roles, this position is multi-faceted and varied but incorporates all standard finance (and financial reporting), accounting, tax, and payroll responsibilities including:
- payroll
- monthly & annual accounts
- PAYE, GST & FBT preparation
- multiple companies & trusts accounts management
- accounts payable and receivable
- credit control
- budgeting, cash flow
- financial reporting and KPIs

In addition, this role is responsible for one additional FTE, a junior accountant, and reports directly to the company owner and CEO.

Skills and Experience
Ideally, you will have at least 5 years of accountancy experience, including a tertiary degree, and preferably be ACA accredited (or in the process of becoming accredited).

Remuneration and Benefits
Hours are full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. No weekends or nights.

The salary for the permanent role is $85,000 to $90,000 per annum.
