  • The role is the primary FP&A reporting role for NZ in a multinational business. Ie. Material correctness of the reported monthly operating results and Balance sheet position is the measure. It is not the speed to complete or process tasks at the expense of correctness or proper financial analysis.
  • Ensure proper financial governance and compliance. Evaluate the process and control analysis. Perform internal control sample test on key business practices on periodic basis, add value to business operation.
  • The role to support treasury functions, cashflow forecasting including foreign currency hedging.
  • Provide information data analysis to improve the understanding of Customers, Commercial, businesses, market opportunities, or vendors and business system performance
  • Support a learning culture, other team members in their training and supervision over Reporting and Analytics team goals.
  • Monthend close: The role's duties cover support role to the monthend close objectives of Reporting over a six-day reporting close including:
  • Support of the Business's close processes minimize material impacts of off-shored processing team on reported results;
  • Costing reconciliation and analysis support to the Analytics team staff
  • Support of the Management in Day 0 to 4 Operations Reporting at the discretion of the Manager - Reporting and Analytics.
  • Reviews of Hyperion, Symphony and other group reporting systems for both Reporting and Analytics duties, eg Solaris CXO, Blika, Power BI
  • Assist in the Group Financial, Planning & Administration (FP&A) of NZ operations including Taxation, Treasury and Procurement strategic purpose.
  • Experience with billing accruals and Order-to cash process stream, managing other analyst's data collation and coordination of unbilled revenue and incomplete jobs accrual processes at the month end is essential.
  • Analyses Revenue and pricing changes via Power BI report to assist pricing strategy.
  • Assist budget and forecast in EPM Planning system.
  • Update and manage tax risks in Blika system.
  • Lead Governance and control environment by ensuring adequate control activities occur in the team and business operations to ensure quality systems and processes including peer reviews and Internal Control Matrix process documentation, follow up of Internal Audit reports
  • Participate in any projects associated to business cost analysis or cost reporting;
  • Good understanding of inventory management to provide guidance to operations staff and peers.

Qualifications
  • A "Critique-and-analyse" approach to task to contribute to decision support. The role doe not require a processing and submitted-to-meet-deadlines mindset.
  • Ten years post graduate financial experience with at least five in senior role. Proven team supervisory skills is preferred
  • Value Contribution driven person wishing to help develop a team of analysts who seek to business partner and provide financial analysis and commercial insights beyond processing numbers to end users and stakeholders
  • Suits person with NZ/Australia accredited CA/CPA membership (required) but equivalent international accreditations with relevant practical experience alignment may be considered.
  • Ownership and prevention of any significant reporting misstatements
  • Rigorous business analysis and commercial feasibility evaluations
  • A seamless communicator without borders, promoting collaboration and training to others and oneself.

Additional Information
  • In-depth experience and confidence in using Oracle E-Business suite R14 in General Ledger, Fixed Assets modules & FSG reporting is essential.
  • Have strong working knowledge of Boss Accounts Payable, Boss OM, Procurements and Boss Accounts Receivable modules also preferred but not essential.
  • In-depth, recent experience and confidence in using Hyperion with Oracle EPM, CXO reporting systems to an advance level to train others and lead future developments.
  • Essential experience in triple bottom line reporting especially past Sustainability and Environmental Health and Safety metrics
  • Experience in managing procurement functions and strategic procurement within a global procurement environment must be displayed
  • Experience with ICOFR procedure or SOX compliance is mandatory
  • Display strong Power BI, Advanced Excel model building, Business Intelligence experience is essential.
  • Critical thinking mindset: Essential technical skill and proper and timely judgement in a professional competence, so the right questions are asked of providers of information and correct analysis is performed that errors are detected from an accounting and operational perspective well before the accounting close stages of the month.
  • Experience with company taxation, indirect taxation GST, contractor WHT withholding tax regimes. Also Corporate Treasury and tax policies experience
  • Proven ability to cross boundaries and work with teams other than finance.
  • Ability to teach and encourage a learning environment within the team and organisation.
