The AECOM Assurance team seeks a highly motivated, self-starting individual to lead the growing Assurance Consultancy Service Line. This leadership role will encompass leading the development of the AECOM Assurance team to assure, challenge and drive improvements to support audit and wider assurance delivery across major capital infrastructure projects.

Competencies:
  • Experience in leading cost and commercial assurance / audit activities within major capital infrastructure projects.
  • Excel in the interpretation of NEC 3/4 ECC forms of contract with particular experience in the application of the schedule of cost components principles.
  • Highly experienced in analysing high volumes of data that are primarily excel driven and experience of different cost systems commonly used in the commercial infrastructure sector (particularly SAP).Ability to assess cost entitlement and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in fast-paced environment and able to adapt and meet challenges and key performance deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required to communicate with a variety of stakeholders with varying levels of seniority.
  • The ability to harvest, interrogate and manipulate large data sets in order to problem solve and produce positive outputs that can be used in the decision-making process.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Commercial management background with particular experience in a cost and commercial assurance / audit environment. (Candidate will need to be able to demonstrate this experience at interview stage).intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. Power BI desirable but not essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Educated to degree level in either accountancy, quantity surveying or data analytics.
  • Professional membership to RICS or ACCA/ACA is desirable but not essential.
