Job Purpose

As an Assistant Manager, you will lead and take ownership of multiple engagements and will take responsibility for overseeing and developing junior staff. You will be committed to providing an exceptional service for clients.

Summary of Role & Responsibilities

Are you inspired by the opportunity to work closely with the Manager and Partner to play a key part in the delivery of a distinctive and high quality audit service to a variety of clients from across the public sector?

You'll be a key point of contact throughout the engagement, leading and coaching your team, keeping the client, Manager and Partner informed of any issues arising and on progress and:
  • help formulate the strategy and plan the service and project manage the assignment through to completion
  • use your technical expertise to consider the needs and abilities of those under supervision, organising tasks and responsibilities and ensuring team members complete work to quality standards and in a timely manner
  • assess and produce high quality work following Mazars' policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements
  • develop and support good working relationships with clients and teammates
  • collaborate with colleagues from across the business to identify and capitalise on opportunities and prospects for new business.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

We are committed to your development and provide a range of training and development opportunities to build on your existing expertise. We are looking for individuals that:
  • Hold an ACA / CA / ACCA / CPFA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Have up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Are passionate about public services and have relevant public services audit experience, including leading assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Are committed to the management, training and and coaching of trainees.
