Reporting to the E&I National Accounts Senior Director, the Finance Manager will support various financial functions including business forecasting, analytics, annual planning and quarterly forecasting, monthly close and ad-hoc analysis. As a key contributor on the finance team, this position will manage key financial deliverables related to business planning and budgeting associated with National Accounts.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely part time as you take on some tough challenges in this Hybrid role located in Minnetonka, MN.

Primary Responsibilities:


    Work across multiple cross functional areas to aggregate perspectives and intel to inform our financial forecast and budget for key workstreams / revenue drivers within National Accounts; further streamline analyses / forecasting processes where possible
    Perform monthly close analysis to facilitate understanding of monthly results against the financial plan
    Develop or improve upon existing financial reporting tools to continuously improve deliverables to business partners
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams in conjunction with budgeting and forecasting process and manage business relationships on behalf of the broader Finance organization and leadership
    Bridging and variance analysis, understanding and communicating overarching business drivers
    Develop and maintain month end reporting packages that can be circulated with broader National Accounts Leadership
    Provide tactical support by assessing and facilitating requests from our National Accounts business partners

    Required Qualifications:


      Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
      5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
      Experience with enterprise financial system Essbase/Smartview
      Work experience anticipating issues, assessing their implications, and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
      Experience working collaboratively across a matrix environment to positively influence business partner
      Healthcare industry experience, or large company experience
      Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
      Live within commutable distance of Minnetonka, MN

      Preferred Qualifications:


        CPA / MBA and/or Public Accounting experience
        Proven ability to own and manage processes end to end with limited oversight, and take on increasing amounts of responsibility
        Ability to manage ambiguity, making assumptions/decision with incomplete information
        Financial modeling and valuation work
        Excellent communication and organization skills
        Solid analytic background, attention to details

        California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
