This position is to support Optum Corporate Services as a member of the FP&A team and is responsible for all aspects of financial analytics, forecasting, and reporting in support of our Client Financial Planning and Analysis, Account Management, and Growth teams. This position will be a key partner of Client Finance to ensure that the organization is operating effectively, with sound financial analysis, and with appropriate financial and operating controls in place. This team has rapidly expanded to support new functions for the Finance organization and is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully with growing needs for data support.

Primary Responsibilities:



    Develops and maintains financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget

    Create and maintain alignment with account management and key business stakeholders

    Develop understanding of monthly trends for margin channels to the extent that fluctuations impacted specific client financials.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams in conjunction with budgeting and forecasting process

    Assist in managing business relationships on behalf of the broader Finance organization and Leadership

    Leverage technology and carry out process improvement activities

    Serves as a resource for others

    Required Qualifications:



      Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or related field

      +2 years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience

      Advanced skills in MS Excel(Pivot tables, Vlookups, Index, Sumifs, etc), and MS PowerPoint presentations

      Strong Curiosity - our strongest and best are full of business curiosity

      Strong attention to detail and accuracy

      Progressive financial work experience

      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      Preferred Qualifications:



        PBM/Healthcare experience preferred

        Experience with SQL and/or database management

        Knowledge of data analytic tools (Power BI and Tableau)

        Proficient with Oracle SmartView/Hyperion Essbase or similar enterprise database experience

        CRM experience (Salesforce, etc.)

        Ability to build solid relationships at all levels of the organization

        Flexible and able to work in a rapidly changing, matrix environment

        Client relations experience and/or supporting sales teams in financial goals
