About the Role

As a Payroll Advisor with John Holland you will provide accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to John Holland Workforce (blue-collar) employees. Working as part of a national Payroll team you will have the support of subject matter experts and the opportunity to expand your skillset and develop your career.

The location of this role is flexible and can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities of the role include;

• Preparing and processing weekly payroll using Chris21 for workforce (blue-collar) employees
• Extracting data from Kronos (timekeeping) into Chris21
• Manual timesheet entry into Chris21
• Maintaining employee Masterfile records
• Processing new starters, transfers, employee terminations and variations to employment conditions
• Responding to payroll related queries from employees, management and external agencies
• Processing EBA increases, backpays,
• Processing workers compensation and income protection payments
• Providing workforce redundancy estimates
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information
• Supporting other Payroll team members as required

To be successful in this key role, you must demonstrate;

• 2+ years payroll experience processing full function high volume payroll, ideally within construction
• Chris21 and Kronos experience; Success Factors experience would be an advantage
• Intermediate MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of payroll legislation and processes e.g. Tax, Superannuation and Terminations
