The Company:
ER Recruitment are excited to be partnering with our client, a passionate and growing business with a breadth of clients across the UK. They are now seeking an enthusiastic and organised Finance Assistant to join their team based in Leicester on a part-time basis.
Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:
* Assist the Finance Manager with the collection of client funds, processing of payments to insurers and smooth running of the Finance department
* Ensure that records are updated and maintained on the system for all clients
* Keep an accurate record of client receipts and resolve any queries that arise
* Run aged debt reports promptly and accurately to ensure swift collection of premiums
* Reduce the balance of outstanding premiums in accordance with company’s aged debt process, monitor this progress and act where appropriate
* Ensure all outstanding actions are recorded appropriately within the system diary and followed up accordingly
* Process Premium Credit finance agreements onto the systems and handle any queries that arise
* Reconciliation of banks and insurer payments
* Assist Appointed Representatives with debt collection processes
* Develop effective working relationships with ARs and insurers
* Respond positively to all enquiries received from ARs, clients and insurers in a courteous and helpful manner
* Ensure to refer any enquiries that are not within your skill set or experience to the relevant person/people to ensure they are followed up
* Assist other team members with any ad hoc duties to ensure smooth running of the office
About You as the Finance Assistant:
* Enthusiastic about finance and ready to learn
* Positive approach to tasks
* Good communicator through all forms of media
* Someone who is thorough with a high attention to detail
* Excellent planner with strong organisational skills
* Ability to manage personal workload by prioritising accordingly
* A resilient individual who is willing to negotiate and able to handle objection
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
* Willing and capable to learn new systems (Acturis)
* Full driving licence and own vehicle as office is not accessible via public transport
