Assistant Accountant

Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will assist with the month end process and production of Management Accounts. Working in a busy but friendly and supportive environment, you will have significant responsibility with this role that will grow and develop with you and your capabilities.

Responsibilities:


Support the Management Accountant with the month end process.
Support with the submission of statutory and other government returns.
Support with the administration of the finance systems.
Preparation of the Management Accounts for subsidiary companies.
Processing journals, payments and other transactions.
To assist in the management and monitoring of the operation of policies and procedures.
Provide assistance with internal and external audits.
Covering the cashiering function during periods of leave and other key dates.
To carry out all duties in a manner that engenders an attitude of professional cooperation.
To ensure that written procedures in relation to the duties of this post properly reflect the activities concerned and to refer up any amendments that may be required.What you will need:

Experience of working in a finance role
Cash handling experience
Maths and English grades 5-9 (or equivalent qualification)
Willingness to study AAT (or equivalent qualification)
