Nicholas Hendry has been engaged by a well-known, Aberdeen based accountancy practice to source an experienced & ambitious Audit Director to join their already successful and growing team. This is a permanent, full-time role that is based in the Aberdeenshire area.
Overview
This is an important role for the organisation and will directly support the Senior Audit Partners and wider firm across the UK, based in Aberdeen and tasked with growing and developing the Audit team and overall offering within the firms’ local office.
The aim of this Audit Director role is to develop the Firms’ audit offering especially amongst SME & PE backed businesses across Aberdeen and the North of Scotland. The Director role will also be responsible for growing and strengthening the audit team in Aberdeen alongside the Firm's ambitious growth strategy. Most importantly you’ll be instrumental in helping to mentor, grow and develop the staff within the Aberdeen office, we are looking for an ambitious and driven individual that sees themselves a true leader and team builder to take on this challenge and support the firms’ ambitious growth strategy across Northern Scotland.
Responsibilities
* Engaging proactively directly with a large and diverse client portfolio
* Engage and develop strong relationships with clients, networking, and business development
* Supporting the planning, completion, and review of audit assignments across the wider team
* Risk Analysis
* Training, supporting & developing a team of finance staff within Aberdeen, aiming to build a strong staff succession plan of finance staff.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you’ll be an ambitious individual that is fully qualified (ICAS, ACCA) and have relevant practice experience working with a broad range of clients across various industry sectors.
