Accounts Assistant
Location:
Leicester, LE19
Salary:
£25k - £30k
Longevity: FTC – Minimum of 12 months
Hours: Full Time: Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)(8.30am-5pm))

Flowers Associates are looking for an Accounts Assistant to work within an internationally owned independent company based in LE19. This person will assist the Financial Controller directly by undertaking various financial accounting functions. The successful candidate will be joining a busy team on a 12 month contract to cover a pending maternity leave.
The Role:
Processing high volumes of invoices, cross checking for errors and claiming credits
Raising Invoices
Be the main point of contact for all suppliers
Bank reconciliations
General administration
Ensuring any disputes are resolved in a timely manner
Other ad hoc duties relating to Purchase/Sales/Nominal Ledger
Journal Posting
Helping with ongoing Audits – extracting Data
Loss Prevention/Credit Control
The Ideal Candidate will:
Previous experience in Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger is essential and especially Credit Control
Good knowledge or MS packages including Word and Excel (Pivot Tables / Look Up’s preferred)
Strong attention to detail
A can-do attitude
Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise own workloads
A Strong team player
Have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
The Ideal candidate will have proven previous experience working in a transactionaccounts role, encompassing Accounts Payable & Receivable and be used to working in fast paced environment. Within this business, cash is king and so there is particular emphasis on debt chasing. The successful candidate will need to be proficient in Microsoft Excel and feel comfortable taking on responsibilities outside of their accounts duties when asked. They will need to be well spoken and be un-flustered when dealing with difficult clients/customers.
