The Operations team is instrumental in the execution, settlement and regulatory compliance of all security and cash transactions underlying the platform offering.
A typical day
A typical day
- The apprenticeship will be based in the operations team with a rotation between two teams: Order Management & Settlements and Reconciliations and Client Asset (CASS) Governance
- Learn the operational processes underpinning the share plan business
- Support client delivery by overseeing successful execution of equity trades
- Monitor securities settlement to facilitate cash disbursement
- Facilitate distribution of equity securities to participant brokerage accounts
- Execute & administer Foreign Exchange transactions support
- Oversee submissions & reconcile Transaction Reporting to the Firms regulator
- Identify & articulate process improvements
- Learn the various aspects of global security settlements & cash disbursements
- Produce weekly & monthly Management Information to assist management of Key Performance & Risk indicators
- Learn the CASS Regulatory Framework & the processes to ensure compliance
- Perform reconciliations for the Firms clients securities & cash holdings
- Perform client Money calculation to satisfy regulatory requirements
- Collation & creation of the Firms CASS governance materials
- Participate in CASS Governance Forums
- GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A*) or equivalent
- Three A levels at grades A*-C (or 240 UCAS points or new tariff equivalent)
- Highly motivated with a can-do attitude
- Commitment to learning and willingness to apply new ideas & concepts
- Incredible attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both verbal & written
- Flexible and adaptable with strong organisational skills & the ability to multi-task
- Team player mentality and is excited to work with different people around the world
- The desire to learn about this fast-changing industry
- Comfortable with office and remote working
