The Finance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the finance operations for CBRE's Global Workplace Solutions business in the Pacific Region (Australia & NZ). The role is available on a 6 month fixed term contract with possible extension and will cover finance business partnering as well as controllership and technical accounting.
Here's a snapshot of your day
- Responsible for the planning and execution of the budgeting process, forecasting process and management reporting across the Pacific region, establishing overall business line priorities and ensuring that all deadlines are met
- Monitor the performance of the GWS business to ensure that strategies and plans are being implemented correctly
- Prepare, present, and actively contribute to monthly division reviews
- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of flash forecasting
- Responsible for monthly financial review.
- Review and approval of all Journal entries within Pacific.
- Review, approval and ownership of all balance sheet reconciliations
- Review, implement and manage financial controls for the GWS business and process improvements to key stakeholders (finance and business leaders)
- Lead and manage external and internal audits.
- Consideration of technical accounting treatments and drafting of memo's.
- Co-ordinate or prepare responses to treasury queries
- Ensure that all provisions for annual leave, long service leave, debtors are adequately provided and managed.
- Review and approval of all revised contracts, travel related requests, severance calculations, credit/fuel card requests and payment runs to vendors
- Provide advice to the BLL's on all financial matters.
- Support and manage the Finance Leads on the Accounts and assist with any escalations.
- Monitoring of post M&A deal performance and reporting thereon to appropriate stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate
- Professionally qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years post qualified experience. (CA/CPA)
- Financial Planning and Analysis experience, including budgets, forecasts, monthly and ad hoc reporting
- Commercial experience with a track record of improving and delivering robust, accurate financial information, and adding value to a business
- Positive, ambitious, commercially minded, with a result focused attitude
- Ability to work within a matrix organization and having the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Excel skills, with experience in ERP systems. Previous use of Peoplesoft and TM1 would be highly advantages
- Travel may be required.
