Profit driven, cost-focused and analytical individual required to join leading manufacturer. This results and goal-orientated individual will be responsible for:

• Analysing key financial information and optimising financial planning by performing a series of tasks which includes but is not limited to the preparation and interpretation of financial reports, budgets and financial statements.
• Financial Management and Reporting
• Assisting with the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements in accordance with accounting standards (full IFRS).
• Maintaining sound accounting records in accordance with accounting standards (full IFRS), group policies, relevant legislation and sound internal control systems
• Supporting the FM in determining hourly rates per technology as per company policy
• Preparation of financial scenarios and advising on the financial implications of business decisions
• Offering professional input on financial matters to various departments, offering suggestions to improve business performance
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure that cost data is accurate and up to date.
• Reviewing all balance sheet reconciliations whilst ensuring that all variances are effectively and timeously addressed
• Ensuring correct allocation of costs and revenue
• Performing detailed variance analysis to allow for the compilation of detailed standard costing reports
• Ensuring a margin analysis is undertaken monthly with variances reported.
• Ensuring monthly stock takes are carried out, and all variances investigated
• Monthly balancing of Work in Progress, Raw Materials and Finished Goods
• Asset Management
• Audits
• Assisting with managing and improving the working capital requirements of the business
• Preparation and monitoring of weekly cashflow forecasts
• Assist with ensuring that measures are put in place for effective management of Inventory and inventory days.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Completed B Comm (or equivalent) minimum
• CIMA would be an added advantage
• High competency in terms of Advanced Excel Skills, understanding database tables and structures
• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment
• Microsoft Business Central and IDU Experience would be advantageous
• SQL scripting would be an advantage
• Knowledge of financial and ERP/MIS Systems
• Sound IFRS knowledge ESSENTIAL
