My client is looking for a Financial Accountant to become an integral part of the team. The role will be working from their offices in Alfreton.

Purpose

• Responsibility for the Financial Accounting function for the organisation.
• Manage the Treasury function
• Ensure accuracy of the trial balance
• Manage the financial accounts team to improve systems and develop staff capabilities

Principal Accountabilities

• Accuracy of the trial balance
• Cash management and forecasting
• Treasury management
• Purchase ledger
• Sales ledger
• Invoice discounting facility
• Foreign currency exposure management
• Balance sheet reconciliation's
• VAT return
• Control of capital expenditure
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Financial Controller or other Senior Manager.

Qualifications/Education required:

• Qualified Accountant

Experience required:

• Team Player
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Can demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to demonstrate an ability to maintain quality and integrity of data
• Organised nature
• Ability to manage and develop others
• Ability to delegate whilst retaining ownership and control

Specialist training:

• Good Excel skills
