- Harmonise, coach and develop a team of highly capable payroll professionals
What you'll be responsible for
- Operations management including the delivery of payroll services to weekly, monthly and Executive employees
- Adhering to State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, payroll tax and superannuation guarantee contributions
- Facilitating accurate annual payment summaries per ATO requirements
- Maintaining current knowledge of legislative requirements
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure Enterprise Agreement adherence, annual salary, bonus and employee share processing
- Significant project and process improvement initiatives including system integration and simplification and Payroll strategy implementation and service delivery enhancements
- Leading a team of Payroll professionals to integrate systems, processes and ways of working, providing training and education, and ongoing career development
- Complying with Veolia safety standards
What you'll need to be successful
We are seeking a strategic, resilient and focused leader who can offer:
- Significant experience in a senior payroll leadership role within a large, complex organisation
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting/Business or a similar area
- Strong payroll reporting knowledge and exposure to a variety of payroll systems with SuccessFactors experience being highly valued
- Experience in payroll integration projects highly regarded
- Demonstrable background in implementing process improvements
- Resilient, driven and a strong focus on leadership and development of team members
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and specialist teams
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role.
