About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Monks and Crane, who are looking to employ an Accounts Apprentice. The role will start within the Purchase Ledger Department with the scope to supplement the Accounts Receivable and the Management Accounts Department where necessary and as you progress.

Main Duties:

* Perform data entry of Invoices/Credits for General Ledger

* Liaise with Branches/sites to consolidate Company Credit Cards

* Ensure Overhead invoices are processed with appropriate authorisation

* Set up and Maintain Suppliers

* Action all mail on a daily basis from online Scanning centre (EDM)

* Perform Statement reconciliations

* Ensure Credit Balances are chased for refunds

* Complete Credit Application Forms

* Invoice Matching (cover)

* Scanning/uploading onto AX system

* Carry out Miscellaneous Duties

Main Objectives:

* Efficiently and effectively help the Accounts Department with day-to-day tasks.

* Working closely with the accounts team, liaising with Branches/Sites and Purchasing Departments to ensure all data is correct.

Qualifications:

* GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent) desirable

* GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent) desirable

Working Week:

Monday – Thursday 8.30-5pm (one hour unpaid lunch) Friday 8.30-4.30 (half an hour unpaid lunch)

Total hours per week: 37.5

Weekly wage: £196.88

Training to be Given:

AAT Level 2 (or L3 if L2 already obtained).
