Do you enjoy complex problem solving, applying your commercial acumen and have an interest in understanding how a global financial group and its Group Treasury and Corporate functions operates? Are you curious and like to be challenged whilst learning new skills?

Join a high-calibre, collaborative workplace as a Senior Manager, in the Group FP&A team, where you will be a key member of the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, which principally supports Group Treasury. This is a unique opportunity which will necessitate you to think broadly, be forward-thinking and proactive, and consider how the domestic and international business environment and Macquarie's businesses shape Group Treasury requirements. This will involve working with a broad range of stakeholders including Macquarie's Operating Groups, Risk Management Group, Financial Management Group, and Investor Relations.

You will be directly exposed to Macquarie's senior management, in a non-hierarchical, merit-based environment and will lead a small number of junior staff. In this varied role, you will partner with Macquarie's Group Treasury and Corporate teams to facilitate projections, analysis, insight and performance reporting. You will be required to maintain a high degree of client engagement with well developed influencing skills, partnering with stakeholders to understand, challenge and drive strategic direction.

In this role your responsibilities will also include:
  • Working with a wide variety of stakeholders across Group Treasury, Operating Groups and other Central Service Groups to enable decisions based on projections of P&L, balance sheet and key metrics.
  • Driving strategic change across forecasting, analysis and reporting
  • Identifying and working with project teams to implement transformation initiatives
  • Preparing reports and analysis for senior management, including the CFO, CEO, and senior Group Treasury stakeholders
  • Developing models to provide analytical insight into commercial decision making
  • Helping drive the implementation and utilisation of big data and analytical software packages
  • Working with Investor Relations and other stakeholders on external disclosures

In this role your technical skills, qualifications and experience will include:
  • A relevant academic background in a financial or quantitative degree, e.g., actuarial, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics
  • Previous experience demonstrating a detailed understanding of commercial business drivers, data analytics and influencing business strategic direction and experience in a Group Treasury function
  • Demonstrated experience in being a people leader and coaching junior staff
  • Tenacity, agility and proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment and be a natural collaborator who can initiate and lead conversations
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with an ability to understand and succinctly explain large and complex concepts and data sets
  • Clear & concise written and verbal communication skills and an ability to engage with all levels of management including non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior experience in data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, TM1, Alteryx or similar tool.

Finally, you will:
  • be curious, always asking, "What's new," and "How can we do this better"
  • be generous with your knowledge, time, and feedback
  • be bold, seeing challenges as opportunities that can be overcome as a team
  • have exceptional communication skills
  • have the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

If you are motivated by the opportunity to work in a high performing, fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you.
