Position Summary:

Continued learning of the Firm's processes and procedures and assisting senior members of the division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with preparation of reports for management concerning the scope of an audit;
• Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation;
• Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings;
• Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues;
• Helps identify internal control, compliance or accounting issues;
• Assists with examining and analysing records to determine control effectiveness or compliance; and
• Verifies transactions by comparing items to documentation

Education Requirements:

Essential

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major

Desirable

• Commencement of CA;
• 6-12 months in a similar role;
• Strong communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation;
• Ability to utilise resources to optimise engagement outcomes through self-management;
• Add value by providing first class service in response to client demands; and
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills.
