About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our Wellington team based in Seaview, Lower Hutt. This is an integral part of the senior leadership team focusing on project management and customer relationship development.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and managing the Contracts teams
  • Achieve the monthly sales and margin plan by managing the resources effectively
  • Through accurate, reliable and live reporting proactively identify project risk & offer innovative resourceful solutions
  • Ensure that all contractual obligations are adhered to
  • Oversee & drive contractual & financial performance of all projects
  • Develop, enhance and maintain key stakeholder relationships through open and transparent communication
  • Contracts Management - legal and risk assessment alongside interpreting and advising teams
  • Cost control - monitor expenditure, review and approve financial summaries
  • Project review - consistently monitor performance, key risks, trouble shooting, process improvement
  • Project reporting - working alongside finance team to deliver clear financial reporting

About You

We are looking for a motivated leader who has experience in a construction/manufacturing environment. You will possess the ability to motivate teams, act decisively, communicate effectively and deliver consistently.

Key competencies which will enhance your ability to succeed in this role are:
  • Proven successful performance in a previous commercial, contracts or sales management role, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of Construction Contracts & Sub-contract agreements
  • An ability to understand and analyse sales, margin and product performance metrics.
  • Able to communicate and present effectively, building rapport and developing relationships with all company stakeholders.
  • Effective time management skills in order to prioritise and achieve daily goals and activities.
  • Strong information technology knowledge with an intermediate level of skill (minimum) in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and prior use of business intelligence/analytics packages
