We are looking for a Global Payroll Officer to join us. The main purpose of this function is to run the Southern Hemisphere payroll and to ensure appropriate and timely processing of Northern Hemisphere payroll; along with assisting with other tasks generally accepted as being part of the Global Payroll Officer function.

As a B2B software and service provider bringing complex, mission critical systems to a few large-scale clients in New Zealand and across the globe, we will only fulfill our global aspirations if we have the most talented leadership working with these clients to secure their business through the delivery and support of great technology.

Gentrack is a 700 person, growing business, listed in the public markets of New Zealand and Australia. The main people centers are in London, Auckland, Melbourne and Pune.

In this role you can expect to:
  • Manage global payroll function using various softwares.
  • Complete monthly accounting for payroll including balance sheet reconciliations of payroll related accounts.
  • Work closely with and support the People Experience Team.
  • Manage global compliance and completion of statutory payroll related returns.
  • Provide backup assistance to the wider finance team as required.
  • Provide leadership and assistance to one direct report located in the UK
  • Advise and support the senior management team in respect to the payroll function

What you need to be successful :
  • Minimum of 5 years' payroll experience in the ANZ region
  • Solid understanding of statutory return requirements and payroll legislation
  • Problem solving ability. Analytical, numeracy and excellent reconciliation skills
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Excel
  • Ideally a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability in managing the demands of a rapidly evolving environment
