Accountancy Practice - St Helens - Accounts Semi Senior/ Senior - Full or Part Time Considered

Your new firm
you will be working with a reputable and well established firm of chartered accountants based in St Helens. This general practice offer a range of services to their broad client base, inclusive of Accounts and Tax preparation, Payroll and Bookkeeping. Following a year or more of sustained growth they are now looking to appoint an experienced Accounting professional to the team to expand their offering.

Your new role
As an Accounts professional within this firm you will be working with a range of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Depending on your experience you will either manage your own portfolio of c.50 clients or work to a Senior who will delegate work. If you come in at the Senior level you will review the bookkeeping work and more basic statutory accounts whilst preparing more complex accounts for your client portfolio. Should you come in at the Semi Senior level you will prepare statutory accounts through to review stage. Both corporation tax and Personal tax preparation will be a part of this role as will VAT preparation and submission.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you must have worked within a practice for at least 3 years recently and have experience in the above mentioned areas. You should be able to use various cloud based systems such as Xero, Quickbooks and Sage and exposure to CCH or IRIS would be looked upon favourably. This role will see you liaise with both clients and colleagues on a daily basis so you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

What you'll get in return
In return this firm are offering a competitive salary depending on your previous experience of between £25,000 - £38,000. With this salary comes a healthy benefits package which includes on site , free parking, auto enrolment onto the firms pension scheme and the firm close between Christmas and New Year. The firm work 37.5 hours a week, ideally between the hours of 09:00 - 17:30 however they do offer flexible working and the ability to work from home should this be required. Part time applications will also be considered with a minimum of 4 days (30 hours) expected.
