Key Purpose
This role reports directly to the Management Accounting Manager and key responsibilities will be;

Lead annual budget and quarterly reforecasting process.
Build, manage and analyse financial metrics and identify the causes of any unexpected variances
Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections and operating forecast
Develop financial models and analyse them to support strategic initiatives
Contributing to a data-led ethos in decision making within the business through financial information reporting and trend analysis

Summary of Responsibilities
Consolidate and present the Annual Budgeting and Quarterly Reforecasting process; perform & annotate monthly variance analysis
Build, manage and maintain cost to serve metrics. Including engagement with wider business to understand trends, seasonality and improvement to models.
Facilitate and deliver proactive reporting, analysis, business and decision support for the budgeting process and the wider business
Support a robust controls environment including balance sheet reconciliation reviews and permanent supervision controls.
Analyse margins and profitability supplying senior stakeholders with key financial information to assist in strategic decision making
Ad hoc projects as required

Essential Criteria
Fully qualified accountant
Minimum 5 years experience in a Finance role
Competent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)

Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Good time management and organisation skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Experience of people management
Exposure or desire to learn technical programming languages e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, Crystal Reporting, Power BI
