About us:
Compliance Group is an exciting new business with PE investment seeking a high-calibre Management Accountant with a strong technical background and high ambitions to join their team.
The role reports directly to the Divisional Financial Controller. The business is growing at pace; this role will currently be responsible for one division which contains 4 subsidiary businesses as Part of the wider Group. There is an aggressive M&A strategy in place and projected growth from £8-10m turnover on Dec 22 to >£45m in 2026. The Group has acquired 4 businesses in the last 8 months. 2 were in this division, and turnover is to grow to >£135m in 5 years. It will present opportunities for personal progression and development.
Brief about the role:
We are looking for a Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in the management and accuracy of accounts, challenging existing processes and driving initiatives to deliver continuous improvement and best practices to finance and accounting internal controls.
The finance team is small, and all report to the Financial Controller. We need someone who will help process the day-to-day activities alongside AR and AP and cover them and step up and cover the Financial Controller as and when required.
Duties and

Responsibilities:

• Month-end close and related reporting (XERO)
• Balance sheet account reconciliations (Bank, AR, AP, Prepayments, Accruals)
• Cover for the AR and AP teams.
• Management of the month-end schedules for manager review
• Analysis of revenue and expense accounts
• Assist with the yearly financial statement by providing the requested supporting documentation
• Collaborate with the team to establish, streamline, and automate procedures and processes to create efficiencies
• Develop and build on existing reporting capabilities and shorten the time required to perform monthly close for multiple subsidiaries
• Other special projects, as requested
Key Skills & Knowledge:
• Part Qualified with a minimum 3 years experience in an accounting role or QBE – to be discussed.
• Experience with an accounting package is required. XERO experience is a plus.
• AR / AP process experience
• Month-end management accounting and reporting experience
• Advanced excel skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
