About the role

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Treasury Operations Manager to join the Group's Treasury & Risk team.

This is a critical role in the Treasury function managing the middle office activity. The Treasury Operations Manager has varied responsibilities from driving the Treasury input into the external reporting to all aspects of compliance with the various funding programmes. The role involves providing advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders. The role is challenging and varied and you will be part of a relatively small and motivated team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring the maintenance of a strong control environment and monitoring of compliance with Treasury policies
  • The coordination, review and issuance of periodical treasury reports, dashboards to the Audit and Risk Committee
  • Be the main Treasury liaison with Group Finance on treasury accounting matters, monthly reporting, funding costs budgets
  • Treasury notes and disclosures in annual report
  • Compliance reporting in respect of the various funding programmes, provision of advice on consents required to support business decisions
  • Manage the Treasury Management System (Quantum) and the ongoing relationship with our system provider, as well as other treasury systems such as Treasury Direct and Bloomberg etc
  • Coordinate cashflow forecasting to support treasury decision making
  • Operational aspects of the Capital Notes, USPP and SFA funding programmes
  • Help manage Fletcher Building's relationship with our Auditor (EY) from a treasury perspective
  • Support the GM Treasury & Risk on restructures, M&A and matters relating to Sustainability
  • Develop effective relationships with business units and internal stakeholders across both Treasury & Risk areas to ensure objectives are achieved and expectations are met.

About you:

You'll hold a relevant tertiary or professional qualification, and of course you'll be well versed in treasury and financial markets (5-10 years proven experience) obtained within Banking, a large Corporate or Consultancy). You'll be commercially savvy, you'll have strong working knowledge of legal and compliance requirements relating to treasury, and your financial modelling skills will be proficient. This will be coupled with an analytical aptitude, a high attention to detail, and you'll be confident building strong working relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
