About the Role

As Senior Accountant - Team Lead you will be responsible for leading a team of accountants within the Payroll, Cash and Business Performance Support functions, for Accounting Services within Datacom's Finance Shared Services. This role reports into the Associate Director of Accounting Services.

What you'll do

As Senior Accountant - Team Lead you will:
  • Manage and oversee the Payroll, Cash and Business Performance Support functions, ensuring that deliverables are met in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and support month-end close activities including accounting adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations, analytics, and analysis
  • Maintain a high standard of documentation for financial processes, including but not limited to reconciliations, audits, tax and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist with annual audit preparations
  • Support performance reporting analysis for the Business and Finance Business Partners
  • Engage and collaborate with the business, stakeholders and internal partners
  • Participate in and ensure any new finance systems, system enhancements and process improvements are implemented smoothly and on time
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvements and drive efficiencies
  • Develop and build depth across the team and mentor & coach others
  • Assist with additional ad-hoc task as and when required

What you'll bring

Join us in this dynamic and challenging role, where you will bring 7+ years of accounting/finance related experience. It is necessary that you have an ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. You must be CA qualified with excellent technical accounting ability and an ability to both grasp the big picture and delve into the detail. An ability to frequently interact with and influence a variety of stakeholders and team members is also required.
