We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team. In this role you will be required to effectively manage and oversee all operational aspects in the achievement of the business objectives. Our ideal candidate for this role is an individual that has experience in planning, organizing, controlling and managing of a department together with Finance, Risk and Oversight Compliance experience.

experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification Relevant Diploma
  • Preferred Qualification Relevant Degree
  • Experience 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar environment of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior entry management level

    • Establish, align and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency
  • Provide sound consulting services and recommendations based on customer and client needs, current information and trends analyses.
  • Develop a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction regarding the quality of operational support provided by the team.
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data
  • Implement and use governance & compliance procedures & processes effectively to identify and manage risks and expose previously unknown liabilities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction regarding the quality of operational support provided by the team.
  • Coordinate the provision of expertise and functional knowledge in support of related projects
  • Implements functional strategy in support of business objectives with particular focus on operational and service excellence
  • Manage SLA agreements for the Business to ensure turnaround times are maintained
  • Participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement
  • Participate and collaborate across teams
  • 1 st Line Support on oversight compliance and risk management
  • Perform Financial Management (mandate) function for the Social Investing Office, FirstRand Foundation and FirstRand Empowerment Fund
