About the role
Rocket Lab is a Nasdaq listed company with its headquarter in California. As a key member of the NZ finance team, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the quality and timely completion of financial accounting, statutory reporting and taxation deliverables for Rocket Lab, whilst continuously drive improvements in processes and provide insights on reported information. This role requires interactions with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills
- CA, CPA or member of equivalent professional accounting body
with at least 5+ years of post-qualification experience - Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proven experience in applying NZ IFRS is essential
- Strong working experience with annual accounts and audit
processes - Strong financial accounting experience in a multinational
environment - Demonstrated ability in solving complex accounting issues
- Strong systems knowledge and experience in tier 1 ERP
system - Demonstrated experience in NZ taxation
- Strong financial control background with a continuous
improvement mindset - Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Experience in costing within a manufacturing environment
