Cherry Professional are currently assisting a south Leicester based company in their search for a keen to learn assistant accountant to join their close-knit and growing finance team.
In this role you will be able to receive support from a Finance Manager who is very personable and enjoys being able to pass on their knowledge.
The role itself has a very broad scope that will provide a great grounding and exposure to monthly management accounts procedures. A real opportunity to accelerate your career trajectory as you gets to grips with multiple accounts and currencies too.

Salary range: £26,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience

Highlights from the job description:
- Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage for both UK and US accounts.
- Control and full responsibility for the fixed asset register.
- Production of journals including prepayments and accruals.
- Assist the Finance Manager with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Production of weekly
- Ad-hoc duties for the Finance Manager when required.

Please note, you do not need to have full experience with all the above duties, however it is important that you possess:
- Prior experience with month end procedures including preparation of prepayments and
- Good knowledge and proficiency with excel.
- A positive can-do attitude and enjoy working within a small team.
