Finance Systems Analyst
Australia's largest public museum organisation seeks an enthusiastic and values-driven individual to undertake systems administration and support within the Finance Department.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The primary responsibility of the Finance Systems Analyst will be to provide systems administration and support to users and to drive and deliver development activities for core finance, budget, and procurement systems.
Notable skills and experiences:

* Provide support to corporate systems through effective system administration; understanding and supporting related system interfaces; creating and delivering user training, and system maintenance. (The key corporate finance systems include MS Dynamics GP accounting general ledger software (Finance), MAGIQ management reporting software (Budget) and Paramount Workplace procure-to-pay software (Procurement).
* Liaise with key internal user groups and other key stakeholders across the organisation to identify and improve existing system-related processes to ensure they remain efficient and effective for the users.
* Provide third-party vendor support for key corporate finance systems.
* Coordinate plans of system activities, including upgrades, annual roll-overs and planned and ad hoc development work for corporate finance systems.
* Effective collaboration and coordination with internal stakeholders and vendor support to define a clear process, develop specifications, user documentation, adequate testing and ensure appropriate training is undertaken.
* Support the external and internal audit program(s) through effective responses to data requests, queries and agreed management actions.
* Develop and maintain procedures and checklists for systems administration, interface reconciliations and user security.
* Maintain current working knowledge of developments in the IT and accounting fields so that the organisation's systems and practices are maintained and consistent with the external environment.
* Comply with Museums Victoria's policies and procedures and with relevant legislation and regulations.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

* Demonstrated experience administering finance and corporate systems, including meeting deadlines, providing business analysis and coordination, and successfully implementing development activities.
* Demonstrated experience in a system administrator role for the finance function in a similar-sized organisation, with exposure to various related systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proactively identifying user needs and implementing improvements to meet those needs.
* Ability to provide and communicate written and verbal advice on systems and processes to various stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
* Sound knowledge of financial management principles. Preferably with accounting qualifications or working towards an accounting qualification.

OTHER INFORMATION
This role is a full-time and ongoing position. The salary on offer is $90,067 + superannuation.
