The Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Review invoices, resolve invoice discrepancies, and enter into system
  • Set invoices up for payment
  • Process check requests
  • Sort and match invoices and check requests
  • Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Reconcile statements
  • Produce monthly reports
  • Assist forwarders or Allied with questions regarding payables
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of company software
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices
  • Knowledge bookkeeping principles
