Our client is a global leading energy firm and we are recruiting a Finance/Business Analyst on an initial 6-month contract for their UK arm.
This role could suit a part-qualified or QBE Accountant who is happy with a hands-on role that will give you exposure to many different finance elements.
The role is office-based with every other Friday off (paid!). There is and there is an excellent enhanced pension.
Key Duties in this Finance/Business Analyst role:• Accurate and timely keeping of financial records to comply with statutory obligations and group reporting requirements• Ensuring company’s financial systems are maintained to a high standard• Assist with the preparation of accounting statements and produce financial analysis• Assist in financial performance reporting to parent company and company management• Ensure payments are authorised in line with company procedures• Assist with monitoring cashflow to ensure there are sufficient funds in each bank account• Prepare and submit VAT returns• Deal with company expenses claims
Key Qualifications & Experience of this Finance/Business Analyst role:• At least 5 years accounting experience with a good breath of knowledge within accounting• Experience using Excel will be key and SAP and Access Accounting will be highly desirable• Energy industry will be desirable but must have worked in a sizeable business• Capable of operating with a hands-on approach• Capable of assisting with financial performance reporting and accounting statement preparation• Know how to prepare VAT returns and have demonstrated reconciliations experience
