MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail to join our team in Mirfield as Management Accountant.

ABOUT THE JOB

This role provides proactive support to the Financial Accountant in all aspects of monthly/statutory reporting and other financial related activities. Being a key leader in the Finance team, ensuring the department is able to react to all the necessary demands it faces given the constant changes which occur within the business.

THE ROLE

The Management Accountant is a hybrid role (after a period of training) and is responsible for:

understanding and incorporating the Incora vision, goals and values in all behaviour, practice and decisions

Co-ordination and preparation of monthly management accounts for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions, including detailed monthly review of overheads

Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations for EMEA regions

Posting of journals and maintenance of monthly accruals and prepayments

Takes the lead in both internal and external audit, ensuring audits and local stat filling are completed in a timely and efficient manner

Assisting in the preparation and drafting of annual accounts

Quarterly analysis of VAT and preparation of support for VAT, Intrastat & EC Sales returns.

Developing solutions to changing demands of the business

Working on other areas of the financial and management accounts process as required e.g. assistance in annual audit & interim reporting to the US

Working proactively with the Financial Accountant as regards all aspects of Internal Financial Control

Assist in year end audit and statutory accounts.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates who have some or all of the following background experience and qualifications:
  • Preparation of Company Accounts (Management and/or Financial)
  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) or similar control environment
  • Knowledge of and experience in preparation of various indirect tax returns (VAT, Intrastat EC Sales etc.) and, if possible an exposure to this in Poland specifically
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with SAP, J.D. Edwards or other large ERP systems (desirable)
  • Experience of working and succeeding in a rapidly changing business
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Excel and Word
