The Morris & Spottiswood Group are a leading provider of fitout, housing, maintenance and M&E services to the retail, banking, commercial, education, housing and healthcare sectors across Scotland and North West /West of England. Our offices are based in Glasgow, Livingston, Warrington, Carlisle and Leeds.

A vacancy has arisen for a Management Accountant within The Morris & Spottiswood Group in our Glasgow office . The role will work closely with the Company’s Financial Controller and is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional who is recently qualified, or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification.

This role will be responsible for preparation of the monthly accounts & key balance sheet reconciliation's, assisting with statutory reporting & audit and assisting with cash forecasting and control.

You must be a strong team player with a positive and flexible attitude. Development of effective working relationships to meet client requirements. Supporting a one-business culture through open and effective communications.

Essential

* Must be actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) preferably in the final stages

* Must have strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables etc..)

* A minimum of 5 years work experience

Advantageous

* Experience working in industry (preferably construction)

* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Jet ERP and/or Sage accounting package
