Anderson Knight are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cost Accountant to join our well renowned client based in Livingston . The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and managing costs for the company, as well as providing financial insight to aid in decision making.



Responsibilities:


* Analyse and report on costs of production and operations

* Assist in budget and forecast preparation

* Identify and implement cost savings opportunities

* Provide financial analysis and support to management team

* Maintain and update standard cost database

* Posting of the relevant journals at the month-end

* Preparation of monthly reports including Sales Analysis & Stock Reconciliation

* Organising and auditing bi-annual inventory counts and cycle counts

* Year-end standard costs calculation and implementation, reporting of variances, contribution and profit evaluation

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a cost accounting or similar type role

* Part Qualified ACCA / CIMA

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software
