ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Menzies Distribution are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our great team in Edinburgh. You’ll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Limited and its customers. Providing a first class service with our team in Edinburgh Park, this role is based on a basic 36.25hour week working Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
ACCOUNTS ASSSITANT DUTIES
• Accurately process supplier invoices on a timely basis using SAP and invoice scanning
• Reconcile PO Invoice Lines for resale goods to Goods Receipts per distribution branches
• Respond to supplier and internal queries on a timely basis through the shared email
• Escalate significant financial impact issues to Team Lead/Senior Accounts Assistant and other stakeholders
•Perform other day to day tasks e.g. filing, payment runs, scanning, opening mail, monitoring shared email inbox, supplier statement checks and others ad-hoc duties as delegated by team leader(s).
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS
1. Good attention to detail and the ability to adapt to the changing requirements of the business.
2. Experience in a high volume/Value PtP environment would be an advantage but not essential.
3. Competent use of Microsoft Office/Office365 suite of applications
4. Good communication skills to contact business purchasers and suppliers.
5. Prior experience of relevant systems an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. (SAP/Kofax Process Director/OCR software/ Concur)
